Hi, my name is Charlotte and I am an illustrator living in Homerton, Hackney.

Before I moved to Hackney, I lived Sherington a village in Milton Keynes. Whilst there I couldn't help but notice the wonderful variety of birds that visit my garden throughout the year. So I decided to pick up my paint brushes and pencils, and start illustrating.

My work mainly consists of British wildlife. It made sense to fuse my two passions - art and animals - together.

My 'British Garden Birds' series is used for greetings cards that sell across the Yorkshire/Bradford area. My work has featured and reviewed in the arts and culture online magazine called "The Sublime".

Most recently I have started to design textile designs for a new printing company called Lemon Head Prints.

I would describe my illustrations as bold and playful. My two biggest influences are the illustrations of Beatrix Potter and Andy Warhol's early ink drawings. Both are charming, cheerful and quaint. I try to create the same feeling, and I hope that comes across with my work
