Description:
My illustrations are inspired by vintage and secondhand clothing, and the stories they tell about the people that wore them, with a view to documenting these for preservation. Trained in Adobe Illustrator for fashion design, this is my favoured medium by creating vector designs, though I also practice hand embroidery and screen printing occasionally. I admire the detailed art deco style of fashion illustrator Erte, and the bold and colourful brushstrokes of 1950s fashion advertising genius Renee Grau, which inform my work.
