I am an aspiring surface pattern designer recently graduating in Textiles in Practice at the renowned Manchester School of Art. I use a combination of both hand drawn and digitally drawn elements recreating traditional patterns found within different cultures, with a focus on intricate and elaborate detail.

To put a modern twist on the timeless traditionally inspired patterns I contrast my designs with modern processes including laser cutting, raster engraving and digital fabric printing. As well as embracing new technology, I also use more traditional processes such as sandblasting and screen printing. My original and creative patterns are adaptable to a range of different mediums including ceramics and tiles; soft furnishings and wall coverings. These decorative and bespoke designs can be applied to a range of interior settings produced on a commissioned basis.
