Growing up in deepest darkest Wales with very few modern distractions, I soon developed a vivid imagination and an inherent need to try to record my minds meanderings. I have just one rule, to paint what I see, to keep it truthful. It keeps it interesting for me too as I\'m never entirely sure what image will emerge when I start.

I tend to work in paint or clay exploring the psychological and physiological aspects of human nature and how we deal with the constraints the mortality of the body can impose. Masks are a recurring theme representing the emergence personality over time or the range of emotion one person can experience.

For this range of home ware, I\'ve taken images from larger works that best represent these themes so they co-ordinate with the full scale prints that I have also made available for sale on this site.
