Katie Rex has worked designing and using her creative talents for many years, in different sectors.

3 years type setting, advert/logo designing and retouching in the magazine industry and 9 years as head of advertising and marketing for a company turning over billions per year led to the formation of Kitty & Rex designs.

Having always been artistic and creative since school, Katie was keen to get back to her creative roots and produce the eye pleasing designs she wanted to, without the constraints of employers or clients.

After becoming a mother in 2014 and deciding to stay at home to raise her son, Katie was excited to have the chance to bring her own ideas to fruition. Her eclectic and quirky designs are at the hub of Kitty & Rex, but commissions are also undertaken.

The name "Kitty & Rex" is very personal;
"Kitty" refers to her black and white, epileptic rescue cat Penny, and "Rex", as well as being her last name, refers to her son Maximilian - it also means "King" in latin, hence the crown in the logo.
