Marcella studied Printed Textile Design at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee graduating in 2008. Her background in textile design is very much connected to her work, which is flora and fauna inspired.

Published by the Association of Illustrators, Marcella’s ever growing collection of work not only includes illustrations and paintings but also luxury printed accessories. Marcella enjoys celebrating the extraordinary diversity of nature, its shapes and forms as well as its bold and sometimes unexpected colour. Her paintings and illustrations are often mixed media but the use of watercolour alongside vivid, vibrant inks feature heavily in her work resulting in strikingly beautiful, ornate and eye-catching pieces.
