Born in Bradford and now based near Richmond in North Yorkshire, I am a digital artist specialising in hand drawn, contemporary landscapes. I am inspired by classic twentieth century travel art and the beautiful scenery of my home county of Yorkshire and beyond.

A strong sense of place is extremely important to my work and although created digitally all my artwork is hand drawn, giving it a unique human element that compliments the clean, vivid style.

My award winning designs have featured internationally in books and magazines, large-scale art installations, promotional videos and advertising campaigns.

I sell my work as individually signed prints through my online shop and license them for use by companies such as Star Editions and Athena Art.

For over a decade Richard has been one of the pioneers of modern travel art and in 2022 was awarded Travel Artist of the Year by the Corporate LiveWire Global Awards.
