I'm a pattern cutter and seamstress by trade working in London, UK.
However for me, creating prints has always determined how a garment will then look.
I've uploaded the print 'nu_leisure' which I developed for my final collection. The ideas behind this print stemmed from a growing interest to the way we interact with social media and fashion, especially through Instagram. I developed a print through digitally modifying my some screen printing experimentations. I then challenged placement within my collection to convey the side of us on social media which continues to become more integrated in to daily life, especially within the leisurely lifestyle lead by today's youth generation.
My print aesthetic mainly involves working with a combination hand drawn or painted patterns followed by digital manipulation.
